Scientific Interests
- structural bioorganic chemistry: with the help of X-ray crystallography I try to understand the structural-activity relationships of aryl/alkyl-sulfonyl-N-oxyimides. Anomalous structural features found in the series of these compounds in the solid state are studied in the light of their specific chemical reactivity and biological activity. Understanding of these relationships might be useful in the design of the suicide protease inhibitors.
- protein structure determination by the NMR spectroscopy techniques.
Among others:
- ancient history of the Near and Middle East (especially the hellenistic period) and Roman Empire (especially the imperial period);
- Linux;
Languages:
Polish – native
English – proficient
German – good
